Hi, my name is Ronald but you can call me whatever you want because I am completely deaf. In fact, you can’t call me at all. To get my attention you need to catch my eye.
I have the softest fur you’ve ever felt. As a senior, I like to spend my days mostly sleeping. But occasionally I’ll surprise you with a boost of energy and zoom around the house. I love getting pets and cuddles but prefer to lay next to you, not on you.
I’m pretty sure I used to be an outdoor cat because I sit at the screen door and cry to go out. Lately my foster mom has been taking me out on the veranda and I love to lay in the sun.
My most distinguishing feature is my meow. Because I’m deaf, I can’t hear myself and regulate my volume. Let’s just say my meow could raise the dead! If you’re a deep sleeper or hearing-impaired like me, we might be a great fit. But if you’re sensitive to noise or have a new baby, I’m probably not the cat for you.
I am extremely well behaved. I love my scratching pad more than the furniture and use my litter box consistently. I do require special food for some early kidney disease but because I’m not very active I don’t eat much.
I would love to find my forever home because despite my deafness and loudness, I am a super sweet, healthy cat that just wants some love and a sunny spot. I've already been adopted twice and returned, so I'm hoping this time I can be third time lucky in finding my forever home!
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
