Adopt Martha from the Cat Haven

Martha2 v2

Martha 155871
Female, 10 yrs, Golden Oldie - $49
DMH White & Torti

Pursonality traits

My name is Martha, I'm a sedate older lady who loves ear and chin rubs.

I'm a bit scared of new places at first, and I hid in the smallest hole I could find on my first night at my new foster home, but I feel safe when I have my person with me. A lot of cats only come out to eat when we're first settling in, but I come out for pats instead.

I'm living in a house with other cats right now, and I'm not happy about it. When I get stressed about seeing them through my doorway I sometimes take a swing at my foster carer, but hopefully I'll get used to them eventually. I'd like a nice quiet home with a human I don't have to share with other cats.

I need to be an indoors cat so that my pale features are protected from sun damage and one with no young children.

My foster home is in East Victoria Park.

Martha has been noted to have small chips in her teeth that were present when she came to the shelter. This is likely due to a previous trauma. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed the chips and no further treatment is currently required.

Martha has a severe heart murmur (grade 3 or higher). This murmur may possibly have adverse effects on her in the future. This includes the possibility of sudden death. However at this time, she is not showing signs of heart failure. Cat Haven’s veterinarians advise that you have your primary care veterinarian monitor the heart each time she has her annual health check. You can also request further diagnostic testing done including specialist imaging. Cat Haven does not accept any responsibility for any problems arising as a result of the heart irregularity, or any issues that may develop in the future as a result of this condition. If you would like to discuss this further with one of Cat Haven’s veterinarians please ask a staff member to assist you.
