Hi everyone, let me introduce myself, I am called Freckle, not sure how I got that name as I think I should be Awesome Girl. I have super soft fur streaked with colour (high fashion trend) and even though I like to make out that I am shy I really love it when I get those belly rubs, it makes me feel like I am in heaven. I have to admit that I am not really a fan of being picked up and having a human cuddle me (haven’t obviously heard of being Covid safe) I will put up with it just to keep them happy.

I am a clean girl, I use my litter tray for you know what, which seems to please my foster Mum and love to eat and a good comfy chair is super cool for snoozing. I will say though that I will make you work for my affection, cannot make it too easy, I need to know you will obey my wishes as I have to be boss of my future servants. I am not really fussed with smaller people they are a bit too loud which makes me a bit nervous. I do love to play especially with those funny round things they call balls.

I was born on a farm and was preparing myself to be an excellent farm cat, slinking around in the night and avoiding trouble as much as possible, when I got trapped! Some humans thought it would be better for me to find a loving home, and so here I am! Can you make their hopes and dreams come true? BTW they're my hopes and dreams, too!

Come and meet me and I will consider if you are perfect enough to be my family. My foster home is in Wanneroo.

Freckle is recovering from Cat Flu. Cat Flu is a generalized term to describe the symptoms of many different viruses and bacteria that can cause flu like symptoms in cats. These infections are specific to cats, and cannot be passed onto humans or other species. She has also recovered from calicivirus, which is a type of cat flu. This is a common respiratory disease that usually affects the eyes, nose, and mouth in cats. Whilst she has recovered from calicivirus, it is possible that secondary infections such as gingivitis and stomatitis (inflammation in the mouth) can occur. For this reason, it is important that you monitor her oral health and get her teeth checked regularly by your primary care veterinarian.

Freckle has presented with a mild case of gingivitis which is an inflammation of the gums. Gingivitis can be caused by previous infection with one of the flu viruses. There are several measures you can take to improve your new cat’s dental health. Ask the cat welfare officer who is assisting you for a dental hygiene handout. We have recommended that your cat stay on a dental hygiene diet. Cat Haven’s veterinarians advise that you have your cat’s teeth checked annually when they are due for vaccination.

Cat Haven does not take any responsibility for any subsequent conditions or issues that may develop in the future as a result of these conditions.
