Hi, my name is Oak. I am a black and white tuxedo boy who will need a lot of patience and love from my new family. Right now, I am in foster care because I am initially a shy cat that hides away. Once I get comfortable I am 110% purrsenality! But I’ll need a family with plenty of patience as it will take me a while to show the purrsenality below.
My favourite activities are playing, sleeping, purring, watching the outside world and eating! My foster mum (FM) say I like to “pretend” to be independent, but I’ll come sit in whatever room my people are in. If I can’t find them I cry out…just to make sure my people aren’t lonely.
I love to play chasey with people when they try to touch me, I’ll arch my back for a pat and run away when they get close- their faces are hilarious. But when I get comfy in my favourite spot I looove I good patting, sometimes I get so distracted by scratches I fall off things.
While I may seem brave and rambunctious I still get scared easily by new people. I’m very interested in the outside world, but my FM says I can’t go outside because I will become too scared to be caught again and I might burn my pretty pink nose. So I’ll need a home where I can live indoors and where people don’t leave doors open, since I will be tempted to explore.
I currently have a cat foster sister and foster brother. My foster sister is old and crotchety so she often reminds me to leave her alone, I do listen most of the time. My foster brother is a bit lazy, but he will play chasey and wrestling with me. Having cat siblings makes me feel more confident, with a slow introduction I would love to have a furrever sibling in my new home.
I am tidy, I never leave food lying around and always bury my litter. My FM says I’ll need a high sided litter tray as my burying can be a bit enthusiastic.
Come meet me online in my foster home. Looking forward to meeting with you in the future.
Meow for now, Oak
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
