Hello, my name is Taklamakan my foster family call me Alita because my real name is a bit of a mouthful.
I came to Cat Haven from a place with a few too many cats. I am a sweet but reserved, lovely little girl.
After being with my foster family I can defiantly say I do not I am a snuggly girl that is a bit wary of loud noises and children but trust me give me time and I will be quite used to it. I follow my foster mummy around the house when it's bedtime I love to cuddle and snuggle but make sure your toes are covered as I like to bite and gnaw on them when you are trying to get comfy. When you are sleeping, I do lay next to you for a little while and have a cuddle.
I love my pats on my terms I will show you my belly but do not touch - it is a trap. I love head pats, I love being patted from my neck all they way to my tail, I do like being near you sometimes but I may hide and other days I will be outgoing and exploring
I love other cats - I snuggle up with my foster family’s cats when they walk past. I am okay with dogs sometimes but I am not a fan of them being in my personal space but after a while I will be okay with that too. I also do not mind kids when they are not so noisy.
I am a sweet girl that loves cuddles and love. Please come and meet me in my foster home in Seville Grove.
Taklamakan has a condition called epiphora, sometimes known as blocked tear ducts. This condition has most likely formed as a result of a previous flu infection. Blocked tear ducts can cause the under or over production of tears, and can predispose your cat to eye infections. Therefore she may require intermittent treatment throughout her life.
Taklamakan has presented with a mild case of gingivitis which is an inflammation of the gums.. Dental hygiene may help prevent its development. There are several measures you can take to improve your new cat’s dental health. Ask the cat welfare officer who is assisting you for a dental hygiene handout. We have recommended that she stays on a dental hygiene diet.
Cat Haven does not take any responsibility for any subsequent conditions or issues that may develop in the future as a result of these conditions.
To meet me in foster care please contact our foster care department on:
The foster carer will then be in touch to discuss this further and arrange a meeting. If after leaving your details you have not heard from anyone after 48 hours, please let us know. Once you’ve decided to give a foster cat or kitten a furrever home you’ll need to come to Cat Haven in person to complete the adoption paperwork before taking them home. We can’t wait to hear from you!
